Week 18 of Homespun Homeschool: We located African Waters, did Saxon math lessons, continued reading the Taming of the Shrew and prepared to read aloud in class, learned about the civilizations of Mesoamerica, worked on Henle Latin, prepared a science lab report, learned some more helping verbs, read in a Bluestocking Economics Guide, read about the physics of waves and sound, learned about four kinds of volcanoes, worked on our research paper, finished our paper on Seven Super Stones and read it in class, worked on penmanship, studied Latin 1st declension noun endings, worked on division, continued reading Born Again, learned the area of a rectangle, wrote a paper on To Kill a Mockingbird, worked on the cost of living and stock market venture projects, started memorizing Robert Frost poems, built modern 3-D sculptures, continued to research the debate Electoral College issue, and had our artwork (Francis and Mom) hung in an exhibition at church!
