Week 2 of Homespun Homeschool: We worked on Algebra, studied Latin second and third declension nouns, read about the science of life, began reading Carry on, Mr. Bowditch, learned how to operate a microscope, started learning geography terms, discussed elements of style in writing, finished reading Beowulf, read in How Should We Then Live, worked on Math Maps, researched, wrote a paper and drew a sketch on the subject of astronomy, played Number Knockout, discussed seeing the unseen, learned about Alliteration and Assonance, read the epic sonnets, started writing a paper about The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, worked on memorizing and drew from memory a map of Canada, and read about Canada and Greenland!
